Lovely vintage bag from Simon New York, styled by Ernest Blum. All-around woven in coated beige wicker with a striking front of six parallel wider weaves of yellow, orange and light green. The sturdy handles are wrapped in a wider wicker with an interwoven spine. The bag stands alone thanks to four golden metal protector studs onset two plastic hinge patches on the base.
The inside compartment is large with plenty of room and has a long pocket which closes with a zip. The inner lining is a hard-wearing beige fabric in good condition apart from a couple of blemishes. Bag closes with a golden buckle and clasp on the top.
Bag is sturdy and in very good condition considering it is almost 60 years old.
Body of the bag measures 11.5” x 9” x 4" (excluding the 3.5" high handles)
